Case Study
THE CLIENT: Leading international lean construction company Unified Works, Inc., is known for being deeply engaged in some of the most sophisticated developments today, like Google’s new second headquarters and University of Chicago Medicine’s new hospital, River East in Downtown Chicago.
THE CHALLENGE: While the company does a number of training videos received thousands of views regularly, it needed to invest in and showcase a high-level project like UChicago Medicine — and capture its presentation to the annual Construction Owners Association of America (COOA) annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia — to both promote its own work and provide UChicago Medicine with content it can share internally.
THE PROPULSION SOLUTION: Upon the completion of UChicago Medicine’s River East Campus, Propulsion PR developed interview questions, interviewed spokespeople, gathered video of the campus as well as rendering to incorporate into a piece.
Our team then traveled to Atlanta where Unified Works was presenting before COAA and providing a Lean Construction training session. We managed this particular event through through coordination with audio/visual managers, created an outline for how the production would be executed as well as worked with our videographer to interview both speakers and attendees highlighting its success.
Capturing both the site in Chicago and presentation in Atlanta — in addition to developing soundbites and interview plans — was key to ensuring top-grade content was created for a video that can be repurposed for years to come.
THE PROPULSION RESULTS:
Two engaging videos, for promotional and educational purposes, that showcased the success of Unified Works’ project in Chicago as well as how UChicago’s team embraced Lean Construction teachings to streamline the development of its state-of-the-art hospital system

Top-level, concise, and educational videos easily shared on a variety of social platforms and websites — also resulting in heightened awareness of Unified Works and its core purpose: to teach and persuade companies to embrace Lean teachings
